The long awaited return of Christian Eckerlin was a successful one as he captured the Fair FC middleweight crown- but not with some struggles, which actually occurred outside the ring. His original Argentinian opponent Tony Gordillo (13-3-0) was at first not allowed to exit Sao Paulo and therefore arrived late on Thursday in Germany as he took a Covid-19 test, which came back positive on Friday (weigh-in day). Promoter Isa Topal did everything in his powers to find a replacement opponent and Christian ended up defeating the boxer Dejan Dragosavac via armbar early into the first round. He will now trade punches for KSW.
Stephan Pütz had slighty more work to do, but still managed to finish his unbeaten Brazilian opponent Walter Chincho dos Santos with an arm triangle choke just before the end of the first round. Stephan took home his 14th title and 20th win as a professional mma fighter.
Anton Mor (7-1-0) took his first loss, having been outwrestled for most of his fight against fellow unbeaten Swiss fighter Magomed Ayskhanov (5-0-0).
The card was opened with the fight of the evening has Max Heine (2-0-0) beat his opponent Paul Omoruyi (2-1-0) in a back and forth affair as he rallied to come back strong in the final frame.
Elsewhere it was Katharina Lehner (7-3-0), who debuted at Bellator Milan against the tough boxing champion Sinead Kavanagh (7-4-0). It was an almost evenly contested featherweight fight, that saw the Irish fighter take home the victory on points.
We would like to thank every MMA Spirit supporter, who came out to watch the fights live as much as everyone tuning in on their advice to witness some great fights.
